Online Workshop for Business Support Organizations
International Trade Centre (ITC) will host an online workshop with managers of Business Support Organisations (BSOs) to discuss the challenges and potential solutions to offer to young entrepreneurs in response to COVID-19. The webinar will take place at 17:00-18:30 (CEST), 22 July 2020. The workshop will be jointly led by experts from the International Trade Centre’s Institutional Strengthening Section and facilitated by Andre Maciel, co-founder of the Impact Hub Brazil. It is open to all BSOs interested in strengthening their support for youth entrepreneurs.
The session will introduce the main challenges experienced by MSMEs and young entrepreneurs in different countries, based on the results of the ITC Youth and Trade COVID-19 survey, and will focus on solutions and new initiatives started by BSOs to better support entrepreneurs. During the session, participants will also brainstorm concepts for various tools ITC can invest in designing and offering to enhance its support for BSOs, with a specific focus on those that can best support institutions targeting young entrepreneurs.
By the end of the workshop, institutions will have a broader perspective on how other BSOs are supporting entrepreneurs during the pandemic and will build a richer network of peer institutions with whom they can exchange best practices. In addition, they will have provided feedback to ITC regarding potential materials that can be developed for their benefit.
